  • 3.5 stars After splurging all over Vegas. Our wallets needed a little break. Thank goodness for the food credit that accompanied our reservation. The credit only applied to certain restaurants. I am happy to say my family favorite was on the list...The Grand Wok. Woo hoo. Through the years my taste buds have evolved and has learned to appreciate food even more. For over 15 years now, I can honestly say GW has been CONSISTENT day in and day out. Save yourself some time and money and stick to these two MUST HAVES: SHRIMP & PORK WONTON NOODLE ($16) --Savory and clean light broth with thin egg noodles cooked to JUST the right consistency. Al dente egg noodles had the perfect bite! --Wontons were filled with big shrimp pieces and ground pork. You get at least 6 pieces. --Chinese broccoli and black mushrooms to enhance the flavors. DELICIOUS. --Big portion. Enough to share for 2. HONG KONG STYLE PAN FRIED CRISPY NOODLES: --crispy thin egg noodles topped with seafood, vegetables and a gravy like sauce. --I don't see it on the menu anymore, but I believe you can still order it. My most recent visit I deviated from my norm and went for something lighter. -Chicken lettuce cups ($13): decent, but nothing to talk about -Rainbow Roll ($17): I usually question how fresh sushi in the middle of the desert can be. Can you say, stomach ache? Enough said!! SERVICE: A bit slow and understaffed. But friendly and polite. Lady apologized for the slow service, but did not make excuses or put blame on anyone. Very commendable of her! TID BITS: --Over priced Asian food. What do you expect, it's Vegas. -MSG rating: 1/5 -Kid and family friendly -They thrive on classic Chinese dishes....stick to those! Hoping Grand Wok sticks around for many more decades to come.
