| - We booked them for my wife's 30th birthday party. Here's exactly how the night went. There is no exaggeration here.
The bus was originally hired in order to pick us up at 9pm and take us to a first destination at 10pm and to a second at 11:15. This is how the evening went:
9:30 I get a call from some random person asking for Nicole and saying this is the number she had for her and telling me she was going to pick me up at some random address. Just an example of the disorganisation I witnessed that night.
9:45 Bus arrives 45 minutes late and breaks down in front of our house, blocking all traffic in my neighbourhood for ~30 mins. Once we were on another bus that arrived shortly after, rather than continuing our night as planned, we were informed that we had to drive around to the other side of our bus until the driver could get it started. At that point the driver did not know how to hook up the jumper cables, so I had to go and hook them up for him. At 10:23 (fully an hour and 20 mins after promised pickup time- I know cause I checked my phone), we finally get back on the bus and begin to drive. At this point we have missed our reservation at our first stop as well as the additional members of our party that we were meeting there.
I called Rex, the owner, to explain my displeasure and he informed me that he did not understand why I was upset but finally offered to give me $50 off of my cost (representing a whopping 7% savings), which I found completely outrageous considering the abysmal customer service I had received thus far.
At this point, being unable to come to an agreement we decided to get off the bus and continue our night using taxis. I am in the process of trying to get my deposit back via paypal resolution service. Wish me luck!
Also, it should be noted that the 'karaoke' that they mention having on the bus is a single dvd that plays a few 10 year old songs, out of a TV in the back of the bus. It's not hooked into the speakers so unless you're right beside it you can't hear it. It's crap really.
