| - Yesterday I went to the Apple Store to get my iPhone 6 Plus battery replaced. After everything I had read, I assumed they'd have the batteries ready to go and it would be no hassle. Wrong. I went to one of the pretentious Apple stores (in Scottsdale), had to be "checked in" with a "genius" who's only job consisted in walking me to a table where I had to wait for another genius. After a while, my genius appeared, plugged my phone in, ran some diagnostic tests and announced that my iphone 6 Plus was completely damaged and wouldn't be of further use, with or without a new battery. Plus, the store doesn't have batteries in stock, they would have to be ordered. Could he interest me in upgrading instead? All that sounded fishy to me, so I went to Batteries Plus Bulbs today where a very nice clerk checked out my phone, replaced the battery and now it's running like a brand new phone again. So, Apple really tried to rip me off. It's a brillant plan: they slow the batteries down right in time when they're launching a new version. When people got upset about that, they give us a phony excuse and promise to replace batteries for $29.99. When you arrive at the store, they'll tell you your phone is garbage and you need a new one. I'm sure it's working, I almost fell for it. I gladly paid a little more at Batteries Plus Bulbs - great service, fast & friendly.
