| - I've been a member at many gyms, but this one stuck out. I am no longer a member, I must mention.
When you sign up, you get 1 training session (to try and get you to buy more...) and the trainer I got was the rudest person I've ever met.
He took me around and showed me the machines...not being a gym newbie I pretty much knew the ropes. At the end, he brings me to a room to complete "the sell".
I was pretty adamant that I did NOT want a trainer, I had one when I was a member at Extreme and it wasn't something I wanted to invest $250 in again. I mentioned that I couldn't afford a trainer (since I'd just bought a GYM MEMBERSHIP) and he goes "Don't you care about your health?"...um, yes, since I joined the gym...then he goes "Your membership will be a waste without training, you are overweight. You won't lose this alone". That was enough for me. I left, complained, lost 50lbs on my own. They cared that I complained, but honestly that just shouldn't have happened in the first place.
Their trainers must get big commission to get desperate enough to treat a member like that.
The facility itself was alright. I didn't usually have to wait too long for a machine...but that trainer left a really bad taste in my mouth.
