Okay. I've been to this location several times and maybe never got an amazingly warm and fuzzy feeling from them and frequently they get my order wrong (how hard is iced green tea unsweetened?) but haven't had anywhere near the rude experience I had there today.
I was in the parking lot visiting another shop and placed a mobile order upon leaving and headed to the store to pick up my drink. I've been stuck in a very long line there before and I like the convenience of mobile order and pay. So, my drink is ready and correct. They were polite when I picked it up and walked over to sit at a table. I sit there enjoying my drink and attempt to get a refill before leaving. What I got was a hassle and a lecture by a barista who thinks he can dictate Starbucks policy by telling people they can't have refills on mobile orders because it has to be same store same visit. Well, this WAS the same store and the same visit. I sat ten feet from the counter for cripes sake.
According to their website, free refills are supposed to be honored for mobile orders provided you don't leave the store. I'm a gold member and have been a Starbucks gold card holder for six years. This has NEVER happened at any other stores. Is it some sort of Scottsdale snobbery or something? Either way, I'll be skipping this a-hole location from now on. Life's too short for putting up with pretentious jerks.
