  • Tried Doolittle's for the first time tonight and it was disappointing. The rosemary bread and butter and the calamari appetizer were excellent. Unfortunately that just made the entrees more disappointing. The fish on my wife's fish fry were very dark brown with black spots (i.e, semi-burned). Fortunately she likes her fish well-done, so it wasn't that bad for her. I ordered the smokehouse spareribs which came with fries and coleslaw. The meat was unevenly cooked, ranging from good to overcooked, and contained a lot of gristle. The BBQ sauce was bland and almost flavorless, as was the coleslaw. Ribs are one of my favorite dishes, and these were among the worst I've had lately. Overall a very disappointing experience, especially for the price.
