I snatched up a recent Living Social deal for this place. It was just a way to mix up my regular workouts. To be honest, I haven't been to the hot yoga classes. Something about trying to be zen in a room set to the temperature of hell doesn't sound like it would work for me. However, this place has taught me that I love pilates! The first Saturday class that I went to was fabulous. My day was absolutely wonderful after this class set a peaceful, but challenging tone for me. Like Natalie G. mentioned, the Saturday pilates class is something to look forward to!
Signing up for classes was pretty easy- you e-mail a lady named Caroline and she reserves a spot for you. Then, you arrive at the studio just a few minutes before class (it is really just one room) and sign in. Once the prior class lets out, you set up shop. Bring a regular size towel to drape over your yoga mat, as it tends to get sticky. They have water available for $1 in case you forget. I know others have mentioned the random foot rub at the end of class but I honestly don't mind it. You are supposed to spend those last few minutes of class completely relaxed, who isn't more relaxed getting a foot rub?
I recently got a pretty upsetting e-mail that Dawn, the owner passed away abruptly this month, so I'm not sure what will happen to this studio.
