| - To start, we purchased our couple's massage through Groupon, which spouted a great savings. When we got there, they had a sign saying the price was lower than we paid through Groupon. Womp.
Next, neither of us had ever done anything like this before and even though we said so, nothing was explained to us.
They gave us a sheet to fill out marking high pain areas (which I assumed would be avoided, but actually were targeted) and requesting a pressure level.
I mistakenly thought a 4-5 would be a good amount of pressure for me, but I was wrong. After realizing I couldn't handle it, I told the masseur to please take me down to a level 1-2. He said okay, but the pressure was not adjusted.
After several more minutes of excruciating pain, I said "Just gentle for me now, please" because I didn't know what else to do. He acknowledged "Just gentle, okay." Temporarily the pressure was reduced, but after no time it was increased again.
We purchased hot stone massages and that part was amazing, however only lasted for approximately 3-5 minutes of our hour long massages.
After we left I progressively got more sore for a couple days. It hurt to even rub my back on the car seat as I was entering or exiting my vehicle.
0/10-I do NOT recommend Massage Well, at all.
(Overall, my husband enjoyed his massage, but he was also sore for a day or two.)
