  • UPDATE: So, while I've blocked their number & email, I'm continuing to get calls from these guys, only they leave a voice mail. Today's vm was from Diana, who sounded downright shy on the message, saying her manager had asked her to call & find out what happened when we were in & what they could do to help us purchase a vehicle. New Year, right? So I called her directly & told her why we chose not to do business with her dealership. I told her we have our new truck, then went into how many calls we receive from them, how we've spoken to managers & asked them to cease and desist. She said she would add us to their Do Not Call list -- which, let's face it, should have been done months ago! -- so I'll wait & see whether this will happen. Oh, and I also let her know I will contact the BBB & the FTC if these calls continue. Beyond frustrated with this idiot firm! Hubby & I took a day to go into PHX/Scottsdale about a month ago (it takes an hour to get there, so we plan ahead), in search of a late model F250 diesel to pull a 5th wheel. We got an appt with Alex, who was a nice enough guy, but it seemed we knew more about what we were looking for than he did -- AND we never got to see the truck we had been calling about. But all was well, stuff happens, etc -- then he introduced us to his sales manager Tom, and the real high pressure started! We'd made it perfectly clear we were not buying that day, and since then all contact with the dealership (phone AND email) has been with everyone other than Alex -- including sales people we'd never heard of! Eric (or Derek) has called us a couple of times, so has Tom, but there was a call at 8:00 last night from someone who called me by name, didn't announce himself, but had "several questions" for me. After asking him twice who he was, he slurred his name (sounded like "Hugh Day from Camelback Ford") & I went off on him, going so far as to blocking their number on my cell phone -- this after telling them OVER & OVER AGAIN that we weren't in a hurry to buy & would deal only with Alex if we did! Then hubby got on the line & spoke with sales manager Tom Roberts, making it abundantly clear to him that we won't be buying our next truck from Camelback Ford because they simply haven't done what we've asked them to do! So their number's blocked and email restricted to "purchase follow-up only." That should cover the bases, right? ;) If you want the high pressure stalking, this is the place to get it. Oy!
