  • A Super Bowl was hosted here?!? Wow. Talk about dated. Expect LOTS of sun and heat during the day games, even in late October it can get to 90+ degrees with brutal sun from all angles. The end zone underneath the jumbotron screens typically has the most shade spots but those seats go fast to season ticket holders, etc. The upper level (sections 200+) are all bench seats with no backs. Yes, they can get uncomfortable. The entire stadium is a heap of concrete- there are talks of renovation or possibly a tear-down and rebuild but that's got to be years and years away. As with all NCAA games, there is NO ALCOHOL served on the premise. You can expect to pay $4-5 for a soda, and food is pretty expensive. No real options beyond your standard stadium food of hot dogs, nachos, popcorn, candy, etc. There are some better food options on the first level near the entrance (garlic fries, chicken fingers, tacos, etc.). But your best option is to eat before the game- and there are several bars nearby to have a few drink before and after the game (halftime?)... Small kids might get scared from the noise and booms of kick-off and scores (sound-only fireworks shot from a nearby mountain are super loud). But the kids will also love Sparky the Sun Devil mascot as he runs all over the place.
