2 Stars because I've definitely had better.
We stayed at the Palazzo Suites with a few friends and granted it has an good view/next to Venetian.. it didn't really compensate for some of the really annoying stuff at the hotel.
A few redeeming factors were the large bathroom, separate toilet, and cool pool (it was raining the day we went and so had the whole pool to ourselves).
The annoying parts:
-People smoking in the hallway .. not just cigars, but MJ.
There's no venting / window opening in the hallways so the smell sticks around the walls. UGH.
-Walls are THIN! When we stayed at the Trump -- they had two entrances separated a distance from one another. I understand why now. Palazzo suites are built in such a way that anyone talking outside the hallway is very audible to anyone in the room.
-Really difficult to find the elevators -- they're recessed into the back end of the casino. I'm sure that's what they wanted.
-Furniture is outdated/ old looking. My friends slept on a sofa bed and it's was really thin.
I did a quick calculation ... it's about $265/night in the suites on weekends. While it's not horribly expensive for a group, there are definitely cheaper hotels with better accommodations and cleaner rooms (I think the Trump does $120 on weekend nights).
