For our tenth wedding anniversary my wife and I made reservations at The Golden Steer. We were watching a stage show, during that show I received a phone call. Turns out it was someone from The Golden Steer reminding us of the reservation.
Upon our arrival we were immediately seated. As requested we were seated in booth #22. Otherwise known as The Frank Sinatra Booth. How cool is that?
The food was amazing. Immediately, we were served bread and water, the wife ordered garlic bread for an appetizer. For the main course my wife had Veal Marsala ($34.00) Medallions of Veal, Mushrooms, Herbs and Marsala Wine. For a side dish she had Fresh Broccoli ($9.00). Personally I ordered New York Strip 16oz. ($50 .00). For a side dish I ordered Twice Baked Potato ($9.00).
The portions of the side dishes were huge! I don't mind saying, as much as I loved my steak. The twice baked potato was spectacular!
I expected The Golden Steer to be top notch, and that's what I got.
