Mitchell's ice cream is one of my favorite ice cream places in Cleveland. I was happy to see that it is expanding and has multiple new locations.
The CWRU location is hidden. If you map the location, it can be confusing. It is behind the Panera! You have to get out of your car and walk to actually see it.
There is an array of flavors. Since this is a newer location and we came an hour before closing, the server was kind enough to let us taste a lot of flavors. There was a lavender honey flavor that was very interesting. It tasted like bath and body works in your mouth. The keylime pie has actual chunks of pie crusting in the ice cream. I usually like my coffee chocolate chunk, but since my BF is not a coffee ice cream kinda guy, we tried something new. I ordered the pistachio flavor, which really tasted like pistachios.
I love the fact that they have the junior scoop option, which is always just enough for me. I order it in a cup with a cone on the top. Perfect!
I hear the location in Ohio City will display how the ice cream is made.
