  • This was my first visit to Desert Car Care. I admit I was skeptical seeing so many shining reviews and 5 stars, but admittedly, it helped me decide to use them for a coolant flush on a car I've let few people work on, my 1999 Plymouth Prowler. My initial call was met with an ultra friendly reception, Frank the owner also got on the phone for a few to answer my concerns about a not-so-typical car and what I was hoping to accomplish and then the next day when I called to schedule the work, I was promptly given a next-morning appointment. I arrived at a clean shop and was welcomed by two friendly women (sorry I'm not great with names). My check-in was literally 1 minute long and within a minute of that, I was being escorted to their shuttle to be taken home (how many mechanics / auto shops provide a shuttle service?? None that I have ever seen.. nice touch!). I feel bad though, I forgot to tip her.. she was really very nice A couple of hours later I received a text that my car was done along with a call from the owner to go over what was found. I took my car in for a coolant flush and heard as much from Frank about the other fluids in my vehicle, some small leaks that we need to keep an eye on, etc as I did about the coolant flush. I feel my vehicle had a front to back inspection and after talking to Frank feel that they were very honest about what was needed to be done. Their replies to reviews matches exactly what I was treated to today.. honesty and a fair price for the work done. Some have said they are a bit higher in price than other shops, but I wonder how much more those people spend in higher cost repairs down the line because their mechanic wasn't inspecting other important components to catch issues early on, or because they are upsold on stuff they don't need yet or at all for that matter. I'd rather spend a little more and feel confident my vehicle is in good hands than get a "good deal" and find out later just how good it wasn't. Highly recommended and plan to bring my vehicle back for additional services in the future. I will update this review as needed when I do.
