Last week I had a tooth extraction, implant and bone graft performed by Dr. Guyette. I live in North Scottsdale but I had to go to the Avondale office because I put the procedure off for too long and so I developed an infection. The soonest available opening happened to be in Avondale, so that's where I went. This was my second procedure with Dr. Guyette (he removed an impacted wisdom tooth a while back). Honestly, I was not looking forward to having this done. I put it off for a few months. To say that I just hate going to the dentist is an understatement. Also, I'm not a fan of sedation or anesthesia, so I chose to do this fully awake. The entire tooth extraction, placement of the implant and bone graft took less than a half hour (excluding the time I had to wait to get numbed up). The x-ray after the procedure showed the placement was good and I experienced very little pain or discomfort. I've only taken a couple ibuprofen since this was done, which tells me he did a very good job. I don't trust many doctors, but I trust Dr. Guyette.
