I've been lucky to get a badge every year for this twice yearly designer showcase at the World Market Center since it opened!
All things interior design related are represented within the 3 buildings, Building A has 10 floors, B & C have 16 each. Yowsa!
The Market is geared toward buyers, wholesalers, etc. It's fun to peruse the showrooms and check out the latest in home design. Markets past used to be chock full of gourmet food & drinks, I think since the expansions they decided to tone it down. You can still score beverages during daily happy hours on many floors.
The Market features nightly receptions in the courtyard, with entertainment and an open bar. This year they had Yellow Brick Road, a local 70s/80s cover band, for one of the receptions.
The World Market Center was open to the public for sales at one point, and still may be. Look for giant banners on the buildings to this effect.
