  • I would give this place 0 stars if I were able to - PLEASE BEWARE!!!! Beware of the dealership "New Auto Sales" in Las Vegas. Sebastian Gennari (the dealer) sold me a 2007 Toyota Prius hybrid for $6500. During the inspection, everything seemed to be alright. After I purchased the car 1-2 weeks later, the cruise control did not work (it was taped back into place to make it look like it was functional, but it wasn't connected; this was discovered on the drive home). He replaced this later but it still did not work. All of the warning lights were on and the middle console flashed "Problem" every time the car was started. A few weeks later, the lights on the dash would not work when the headlights were turned on. A few days after this, the car stopped working. It would not start or turnover and the electric locks wouldn't work. The lights were not left on, though Sebastian tried to blame me for such. He "fixed" it, but nothing changed except that the car would start. The dash lights still did not turn on if the headlights were on and the screen flashed "Problem" when the car was started. A local Toyota dealership told us that the problems indicated a bad battery or a faulty combination meter (an electrical problem that in some cases can result in brake failure). Sebastian was unwilling to pay to have these problems fixed and told us (only after purchasing the car) that he had never bought or sold hybrids before. The repairs were going to be a minimum of $800 (and likely much more). These were not problems that we caused, they were problems that existed when we bought the car due to him selling something he knew nothing about and not being honest about that upfront. I was finally able to convince him to let us trade in the car, but the car 2005 Honda Civic he traded was only worth $5900. Despite the value difference, he was not willing to pay the difference. Also, he kept pushing back the date of the trade, made me drive out to his shop 5 times (each time telling me the trade would happen), and rarely kept an appointment. The final time, he was supposed to come to my apartment to do the trade, but then at the last minute (in the middle of rush hour), he told me I had to go back to his shop because he didn't want to bring his stamp with him. Unbelievable! The trade was finally made, only to discover that the windshield wiper fluid reservoir has a giant hole in it (can't hold fluid) and the driver's side lock is sticky and won't lock with the electronic lock (I have to manually lock it from the outside after shutting the door). When contacted, he would not respond to or return calls/texts, so I had to get it fixed elsewhere. I am a medical student and he wasted so much time that I didn't have, making me drive back and forth to and from his shop (about a 40-60 minute round-trip of just driving), and now he is continuing to waste my time by not fixing the problems that came with the car we traded. Beware of this seller! He is so incredibly dishonest and not worth wasting your time and money on. I have seen other ads he has posted on Craigslist and he does not list the name of the dealership, so beware of any ads with the name Sebastian Gennari or with either of his phone numbers (7028167731 and 7025820014). I have filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and will be filing a complaint with the DMV. DO NOT BUY FROM THIS SCAM ARTIST!!!!
