I don't go to Sundance often (other side of town), so when I do, it's for special event showings. I have been to a number of National Theatre Live shows, and recently a production by the Kenneth Branagh Theatre Company. The quality of the shows are great and I am so pleased to have the chance to see these performances here in Madison.
Now, it might be because I go to these special events that are always sold out, but the concession lines are incredibly long. I love the selection of food and drinks, but even waiting for hot water for tea takes awhile once I finally get to the (usually just one) open register.
Staff is never unfriendly, but I'm never amazed by any great customer service acts.
Clean restrooms and theatre, but avoid the salting stand if you want to keep that clean image in your head.
Lots of cozy chairs and tables to hang out at. I've been to the rooftop cafe once, but it was a few years ago. Pretty good, as I remember.
