The tech James was very nice and knowledgeable...but they charged $311 to put in a $20 part. I saw where it was...definitely not a difficult fix. Took him a matter of 10-15 minutes. He took about 45 minutes start to finish with diagnosis and part replacement. After letting him know that I looked up the part and what it costs, he said "that's what we charge in the books." He did try and promote the maintenance package and a lot of parts to maintain my two units totaling about $2,000. I said I just wanted what would get my upstairs unit working now...I'll worry about replacing or fixing the other items when they stop working. Anyway - I'm going to get bids from this point on. UPDATE: just called another company that is rated A+ with the BBB...they would have charged me $214 for a non-generic start assist unlike the one that Precision put on. The 35 and 5 mfd caps with this company would be $188.21 for BOTH...Precision wants to charge $184.28 for the 35 and $152.94 for the 5 cap. Precision is definitely over priced...I lost $100+ for a generic part.
