Tony just came to my house for an AC check-up. He talked down to me, and it was obvious he just wanted to sell the diagnostic test for $89. I responded to their mailer, and was told on the phone that they did a free all system check. A 2-minute check on the condenser is not an all-system check. Tony said it would cost me $4700 for a new condenser and $9500 for a new system. I had gotten two estimates before that were $2500 for a new condenser and $7000 for a new system. Tony then proceeded to say that he could match those estimates if I could show them to him. I told him I was not showing him anything, and that these other people were more honest, and that I would rather work with them. He was trying to persuade me that if it were the same price, that pricing was all that mattered. Excuse me, but trust and quality of service are very important in business, and if one cannot get that, they may as well hang it up.
