Usually I'll post reviews when a place either angers me or knocks my socks off. I post this one because I don't believe many of the reviews for this place are accurate.
Anishas is a solid "alright" place to go. I'm not affraid for my health but I also do not feel extremely pampered. My impression is a lot closer to a doctors office visit than a spa - often I feel better as a result but it's more clinical. I've been here several times because of various deals but if I really wanted to pay full price and get the full indulgence of a spa trip I would choose somewhere else.
Services from Anishas I've had:
Manis: perfectly acceptable. Better than a little hole in the wall asian place. Attention to hygene is given here (a lot of places give me the creeps because of lax standards)
Pedis: slightly better than the average pedi except the time I had my nails done while in a body wrap which turned out poor and was just awkward. Nice chairs otherwise.
Massage: Technically correct, they try hard. I've had one really inappropraite therapist which ruined the whole experience. I usually prefer a "real" massage to a spa one anyway.
Facial: Nothing special
Body Wrap: I've only had wraps done at very nice spas and compared tho those experienced this is terrible. I could probably do this better at home.
Laser Hair removal: I have no point of comparison on this anywhere else but it seems ok even though I am a bit disenchanted with results. I've had 6 sessions at the point of review (which is what they tell you you'll likely need) Dispite being an "ideal" candidate for this having dark hair and light skin, I've seen very little actual results. This is an individual thing but it might also be a tech, equipment or type of laser thing. I hear other lasers might have been a better choice than the IPL. I've also waited up to an hour after my appointment because of tech was very slow. Another tech was so extremely rude the only reason I went back was because I had a package. The owner is really nice and fast in contrast but she doesn't do them much anymore... I'm going to do a couple more sessions just to see what happens and then perhaps switch laser technology.
