| - First time visitor to Scottsdale, so obviously needed to find some delicious mexican food. Initially skeptical when a friend recommended this as I am not used to finding authentic mexican food in nicer restaurants back in Ohio(You've got a better chance with the food carts). Boy am I glad I didn't try and talk him out of it.
The hostess was incredibly accomodating as we had to switch our reservation multiple times to account for some unpredictability in our schedule. We were seated on arrival. The atmosphere is great, and the restaurant is beautifully decorated. The margaritas are absolutely delicious, among the best I've had.
They brought out whole, seasoned tostadas to the table in place of chips, and they were incredibly delicious. There seemed to be a black bean based salsa served warm and a more traditional salsa. Both were delcious.
We got the sol guacamole, and if you are coming here it is a must get. It has goat cheese (score) and mango in it and is a true explosion of flavors.
I had the Vampiro, the fish gubernador, and the bufaleda. The fish gubernador was the best fish taco i have ever had, bar none. Deliciously cooked and drizzled with a delcious tangy sauce, it allows the fish to be the main taste with a host of perfect complements.
My second favorite was the vampiro. It has a lot of kcik to it so be ready, but is quite delicious.
The service throughout was impeccable, and the manager even stopped by and chatted with us for 5 minutes.
Great experience and I can't wait to get back to Scottsdale and come here again
