  • AMAZING!! Hunter Canine took my "babies" (full grown boxers), and taught them how to be a pleasure to have in the house, on a walk, or when guests are around. Everything I was hoping for. I chose the 2 week sleep away camp so I wouldn't screw them up between classes. How much can a dog learn in 2 weeks? Answer: more than most people! They learned how to not drown. (I would say swimming but that sounds like an enjoyable activity which for them it is not.) They learned how to alert to rattlesnakes which was extremely important to me since I have a young daughter. They also learned all the basic commands. They have manners now! And I have an immensely better understanding of my dogs! Although Hunter Canine offers training for guard dogs, that wasn't what I was looking for. I just wanted people, like my 96 yr old grandfather, to be able to come to the house without getting knocked down or annoyed. If they didn't bolt out the front door when I opened it, that would be a bonus. I GOT THE BONUS!! I recently moved to AZ from the East Coast and have literally looked for training from coast to coast. Hunter Canine offered the best package for my needs. A beautiful, impeccably maintained facility, top of the line training and care for my dogs, and follow up classes for me and my daughter. Once we are confident in our abilities, we will be taking the course for the dogs to get their Good Citizen Certification and if we feel really ambitious, we can also do agility training! No matter what your dogs breed or how good/bad their behavior, every dog (and owner) can benefit from time spent with Chad and Andrew at Hunter Canine.
