If you are craving some Thai and uptown, Basil is worth the walk. The flavors are good and the food is fresh. Pad See-Eu and Pad Woon Sen are two of my favorites on the menu. Pad Woon Sen is one of the best season dishes on the menu, try it "Thai hot" for a little bit of enhanced flavor.
Why not 5 stars? A couple minor issues. Depending on who is working in the kitchen and on your food, the portion sizes are uneven. It is fine 80% of the time, but about 2 out of 10 trips, you feel like the person working in the line gave you a half portion? The food takes a while to serve at lunch, which is a good and bad sign. Good, since they likely make it to order; bad, due to the time it takes to get in and get out on a work day.
That aside, go to Basil, go have some good Thai food.
