  • My son took his car for a NCDMV inspection. The car is a 2005 Acura. The car has had LEGAL window tint on the car for years, never any problem passing inspection anywhere else. The tech at Summerfield failed the car for the windows being to dark and leaking power steering. After failing the inspection we took the car to a window tinting business to have put a meter put on the windows and it was certified legal, NO ISSUES. I also could not see any leaking power steering issues. With he new law passed last year in NC that once you take your car somewhere you cannot and don't pass inspection you can't go somewhere else. I figured we would have a problem if we didn't have the tint removed. SO I spent $115 dollar and 6 hour of my son's time to handle this issue. We took it back to Summerfield and found out the tech was reading his meter for window tint WRONG and there was not leak in the power steering. I am done with the place. I have spend thousands of dollars with them over the years but this is it for me. I will "steer clear" of them now. (with no tint on my windows)
