I had been wanting to try Jardin's buttermilk chicken sandwich and finally had a chance to recently. We came here for lunch at noon and there was plenty of seating available. We chose to sit outside by the pool, though inside had the beautiful floral display in the middle of the restaurant. It was a little bit cold but I made sure to get seated by a heat lamp. Our party of 3 sat at a table for 6, so we each got to sit on the side of the table facing the pool area which was very nice.
I was underwhelmed by my sandwich. I think I would have been happier with a fast food chicken sandwich :p The taste of the cole slaw was pretty overpowering. I also wasn't wowed by their strawberry smoothie nor their chocolate cake dessert - both were just ok and pretty pricey. The cake was very Instagram-worthy though :p It looked just like a flower in a pot and was 100% edible. The menu said it serves 2-3, but it was more like 4-6.
Service all around was meh from the moment we arrived and I was not crazy about how they allowed smoking at the restaurant. But, it was nice out on their patio and they played some good music - thumbs up to "Tell Me" by Groove Theory and "Rock With You" by MJ! FYI, most people seemed to be dressed up even for lunch but you'll still be seated even if you're not in a snazzy outfit.
