| - KINGMAN LOCATION
***PROS*** My battery was replaced. The owners seem very knowledgeable about Mac products. There was no service fee for work performed.
***CONS*** There is a time limit imposed by Apple for the replacement part to be installed. Otherwise it must be shipped back to Apple!
DETAILED REVIEW: We phoned to ask about a battery replacement for my macbook pro, and were told we had to bring the computer in prior to ordering the part. We set aside time to drive the 45 minutes (one way) to their location, but there was a note on the door that they were out running errands.
No problem - we ran an errand as well, and when we returned, the shop was open.
My computer was plugged in, some diagnostics were done, and I was on my way.
The new battery arrived within a few days. We were phoned and informed the battery was in. It being our busy week at work, we made no attempt to take the long drive back to Kingman until we received a phone call that, UNLESS WE WERE THERE BY 2PM TODAY THE BATTERY WOULD BE SENT BACK.
Hubby asked if we could pay for the battery to ensure it not being shipped back. We were told that would be an additional $30 fee. The prices are set by Apple, as are the amount of time allotted for parts to be installed. The extra $30 would be charged since my old battery wouldn't be shipped back, in essence a trade. Well, hubby didn't want to pay the extra $30, so regardless of how busy we were, he took my computer to Kingman that day prior to the 2pm deadline. The battery cost $149, but was installed within 15 minutes. There was no extra fee for service, which was nice.
