| - I was downtown and had to make a stop to tighten my axle and grab some accessories.
The shop is busy and professional, and the staff are knowledgeable bicycle enthusiasts.
I was a walk in, and I definitely felt the vibe that being a walk in was annoying. The maintenance costs were expensive for a 15 minute job, and the mechanics were good at their jobs, but like other reviews said, it is expensive (but good quality). The accessories were all pretty expensive as well. $17 for a kickstand, $30 for 2 lights, $15 for a small bell; but hopefully I got what I paid for and the stuff will last for a long time...
All in all, I would say that it is a good shop, but like I mentioned, I got the vibe that I was inconveniencing the mechanic, because I showed up for a quick fix. So this is a good place if you have an appointment, but if you need a quick in the moment fix, keep on going to MEC- MEC welcomes walk ins.
