  • I'm going to come out and say I rarely give a chain restaurant five stars. You know why? Because I am slightly pretentious and believe high quality food and creativity is lost the more commercial you get. Ok, so now that I am have gotten off my high horse here is the deal. Apps. We ordered the cocktail shrimp half pound. They had been flown in that day and we're fresh as fresh can be and they were fantastic. They are presented on a bucket of ice which is just freaking awesome. We asked for extra horseradish and guess what came.... Actual freaking root. The good stuff. The shake your moneymaker real deal holyfield root. I ordered the Nawlins Shrimp. My server described it as sweet and spicey. Rarely do I pick up both sides but seriously. This time was a hit. The Nawlins BBQ shrimp was fantastic. Sweet and spicey and full of flavor. Very similar to a gumbo. For desert we had the buttercake. Seriously, it, was, awesome. Sweet and salty. This is an awesome place that although has a chain feel, brings the heat, and the sweet.
