  • Spoiler Alert: This is the best place to see a movie in all of Dane County BUT, the customer service and physical condition of the non-theater areas need a lot of work. It never fails that the concession line is chaotic with incredibly slow service. The restrooms are routinely dirty with debris on the floor, puddles of water on the counter tops and empty paper dispensers. Also, what's with the restaurant being shuttered? Every other restaurant in the Hilldale area is packed, but Sundance seemingly can't make this one work. Yes, the Rooftop is open during the summer, but even the fresh air and view can't make up for the rude, inexperienced bartenders. We do not mind the higher ticket prices because the comfy seats and intimate theater seating is wonderful, though getting through the lobby to our seats always makes me wonder "who's running this place?"
