We stopped in here to see what it was about, didn't have time to look but glad we didn't-why pay to see reproductions? I checked out the gift shop and was puzzled to see so many books on Christianity and the Pope. I would assume since there is so much intermarriage and assimilation, maybe they felt this type of reading material would sell?
I was also mystified to find that a Jewish museum was open on SATURDAY (it was Friday when we were there but still...)The ladies at the admissions desk, while pleasantly enduring my husband's banter, had no clue what a baal tshuvah was. I would say a better name for this place would be the Maltz Museum of Everything But Jewish Heritage.
