V . U . L . T . U. R . E . S
There are so MANY violations and unethical practices going on under this company, please do NOT get suckered in. If you're reading this, it's probably too late and you've been scammed into some vacation/tickets that is offered for "Free".
People, they're no such things in this world there is always a catch. Please be aware this resort is nowhere near the strip but in the middle of the boonies of NV. I learned that this Grandview Resort was completed as of 2010 and built approximately 7-8 miles away from the actual strip. The "vision" of the company is to have the strip extended in hopes of having this become the "new strip" of Las Vegas.
According to the marketing team (Grandview Resort c/o Vacation Village), in order to get this free stay and to get your deposit back (which will be reimbursed via gift card to equal or less value), you're required to attend a 90 minute tour. Mind you, I was dragged into this as my friends had already booked this trip in advance and as a courtesy I joined them. This is supposedly a no pressure, and friendly tour of the resort. Little do people know, it's a timeshare presentation with a sales team pointing a gun to your head to buy buy buy. The word "no" apparently falls onto deaf ears no matter how much you decline. The intriguing part of all of this is being able to watch all of these salesmen & women pitch their sale (in any manner) from sad to even exploiting their personal life and family to get one measly sale.
If you're a strong minded individual, by all means please attend and enjoy the stupid look on their face when the word "no" comes out of your mouth. Or go to simply get a rise out of these people, its hilarious. The desperation can be sad and pathetic yet entertaining if one has a glass of Scotch. Take a drink.
If you're the benevolent sort....just stay away.
Note [to those who decide to attend]: This is a 90 min tour that does not include travel time, a shuttle bus will be provided to the destination and back. I highly recommend you take your own vehicle. Time it from the moment you arrive or speak with a representative in which you will be assigned to (there's no hiding). Once your time has exceeded (which you've consented to) they will try to detain you and keep recommending you to another sales associate. Please remember, you've consented to the 90 min tour, anytime beyond that (which you haven't consented to) you're being held against your will. Violation (NRS 200.460). Please be advised this information should not be construed as legal advice.
Thanks and good luck
