Great price for a once in a lifetime experience! As other people have said, they did not pick us up at our hotel. We had to navigate through another hotel to get to the pick up spot. The bus was nice and we were confused when we were made to switch buses after driving a few miles. The stop at the Hoover Dam was so cool. We were able to take really nice pics and were able to get out to go to a gift shop. After a few hours, we made it to the stop on Route 66 and were able to get our sandwiches for lunch. It was interesting to see the surrounding area. When we finally got to the Grand Canyon, it was freezing! But the views were out of this world! The snow added another element to it. We couldn't walk around too much because of the snow and ice. We weren't prepared for that. I couldn't believe we were there! The second stop brought us to another gift shop and more spectacular views! There was also an old bar in there that looked like it was from 1970. Drinks were strong though.
Now the bus driver/tour guide was really nice but at times inappropriate. He went on a political rant at the beginning of the ride which was irritating because I was hungover and it was wayyyy too early for that kind of talk. There were a few other racial things that he said as well that didn't sit well with me. How can a trip that keeps you on a bus for HOURS not have any outlets or wifi?? It blew my mind. I had to preserve my battery to take pictures the entire trip. I didn't get why we had to stop at McDonalds on the way back. I rather have just cut that hour out and gotten back to Vegas earlier. Also he could have played better movies to keep us entertained. The bathroom also could have been cleaner and better stocked.
