| - We liked it! We really really liked it! (Apologies to Sally Field)
First off, this is not a 5 star hotel as defined by AAA or the Michelin guide, this is 5 stars based on the price that I paid, the services that I recieved, and my desire to return.
It was myself, wife, and two teenagers for a long weekend. The rate was fantastic, and the room came with a pullout couch so we got to spread out a little bit.
We were in the South Tower, 16th floor, so the Yonge St. noise didn't bother us. A little elevator noise but nothing to lose sleep over. The front desk was pleasant and helpful when we needed it. We used the pool and aerobics room almost everyday. It's not the biggest, but it had everything we needed and was open at convenient hours.
We had no issues with the neighborhood and there were a lot of little shops that we could duck into. Also it was close to subways, trolleys, and there always seemed to be a taxi or two hanging around.
A good bonus for us was the in-room wifi with no additional charge. Being on a US cell phone plan, it would have cost us about 60 cents a minute, but having the wifi allowed everybody to connect to the net and keep in touch as needed.
