We usually stay at The Orleans but they were booked for this evening so we decided to try Sam's Town. We read a lot of good reviews and I wish I wouldn't have ever believed them. This casino is a lot farther from the strip than described. It is in a scary run down part of town. When we first arrived we went to the Valet and we waited forever for someone to come over and it was over 100 degrees outside. Finally the valet arrives but when my husband asks him if he knows how to drive a stick he gets an attitude and she "Of Coarse, we all do! ". It was the way he said it that made us not want to leave our car or belongings with him. We asked for a bell hop and waited forever and he never showed up. Mind you we are waiting in the 109 degree weather outside. The outside of the building looks old and outdated. Finally my husband comes in and we go to the guest check in and my husband described what happened with the valet and then asked to speak to a manager. The manager doesn't apologize and he tells us there is only "1" bellhop. He gets the bellhop and walks away. He didn't care one bit about us at this point. So you have 1 bellhop for 645 rooms.. well no wonder why we waited forever and shame on you Sam's Town... this is horrible customer service. At this point we don't want to stay here anymore but we ask to see our room because we feel trapped here. The guy at the desk says we can't see the room because we don't have anyone to go with you. He also says if we check in and don't like it then too bad we are stuck with it. Then this weird lady comes over and starts asking my kids to borrow their phones. This lady was creepy weird like a lot of people we saw here. This is when my husband gets upset and he calls The Gold Coast for a room. We left Sam's Town and will never return. No employees care at this casino and when we tried to leave the valet was a mess and we had to wait again to leave. Also the Casino smelled really bad and has low ceilings and bad ventilation. Don't waste your time or money here!
