  • This is about as close as you can get to a funky, helpful, and DIY-focused bike shop in C-U. Lots of bikes to choose from, if you're looking for a new ride. (About that: have you tried Craig's List?, because maybe a used bike is really the way to go.) I was in the other looking for some bars, and the dude who was helping me even loaned me a couple of Allen wrenches so I could adjust my existing set up. Hold on: a guy at a bike shop loaned out his tools without thinking twice about it? That's what I'm talking about: the folks at Champaign Cycle are cool and helpful.
