Our first time to Roosters for an evening out with friends and we were not disappointed. We made a reservation by phone earlier in the day and we're seated right upon arrival.
Our waitress was Kelby and she did a great job going over the menu, making suggestions and giving us time to decide and order.
We ordered quarter roasted chicken, fried oysters, and 2 bbq meals along with onion rings and green beans (called haricot verts) and it was all good. The chicken is what I had and it came in a small cast iron pan and was super moist and seasoned well. The 2 guys ordered the bbq, and I had read in another review that the meat was cubed, but it still seemed strange. It wasn't as plentiful of a portion as I would've expected. Hubby said the flavor was good but nothing spectacular. The fried oysters were a hit and the onion rings were thin and crispy, my favorite!
We ordered 2 desserts to share, the coconut cake which I HIGHLY recommend and the chocolate mouse pie which ai didn't sample. The coconut cake was light, creamy and just really good!
The price points matched the Southpark area, the decor was adorable and the ambience was casual but still super nice dinner night out for us.
We would recommend it!
