  • I made a special trip out to Ed's Real Scoop as my kick off to the summer ice cream season - yay! I was somewhat overwhelmed by the selection of real ice cream and gelato. Unique flavors like red chili chocolate enticed me. I ended up getting a combination of two gelato flavors - bold red chili and cool pistachio - delicious! The line up was long, but quick, given the assembly-line work ethic of the friendly staff. I liked the option of getting multiple flavors in the cup size of your choice. Kudos to Ed's for their flexibility, quality and service. Possible downside is the constant crowd on a hot day and need to line up outside the store. The price is also a bit steep, but you're paying for quality product.
