Stopped in here last Saturday after another prime spot for our local friends was found to have closed or moved. Luchita's was hopping and on a wait, be we managed to snag some bar seats. Bartender asked the entire bar to move down to accommodate our group of four. She was completely slammed, but had a nice routine for treating the entire bar as one big party. Always encouraging to see someone doing things correctly in the weeds.
Chips and salsa were pretty great, which is sadly critical for us in moments like these. We were very hungry and made the old college mistake of eating too many chips. Food was really good despite having destroyed our appetite and we over consumed as one will do when the stars of hunger, chips&salsa, followed by well prepared meals align. I wanted to buy a t-shirt by the time we paid. This is the new go to spot for Mexican on the West side for me. Regular kind anyway. You want chef power you go to Momocho, El Carniceo, or Barrio. I guess we could eat Mexican every time we go out, but that would leave a lot of diverse tastes unsatisfied.
