| - Had different hamburgers here several times and this place is a cruel joke. First of all, the burgers are way overpriced with their original/main burger setting you back $8 plus $2 extra for a stinking slice of cheese (WTF!), I guess some people enjoy a good ol' Canadian rip-off. All that could be forgiven if the quality was there, but hell no it's not there. For the third straight time, I'm faced with a soggy bun and an unpleasant tasting/stinking and dry beef patty, so regardless of it's thick size, the taste is BLAND and the texture god-awful, akin to eating gravel. The vegetables are fine, but the main attraction is AWOL. Combine this with the horrible prices, the disingenuous, overly-friendly and obviously programmed/scripted attitude of the Filipino workers, the 10-15 minute avg. wait time (in an empty restaurant) and this place is a bad mess.Never again! Dollar for dollar, McDonalds beats this self-acclaimed place (Hamburger's last stand my foot) hands down just for comparison and I dislike McDs quite a bit. Just do yourself a favour and find a Harvey's or even a Wendy's near you and your mouth and wallet will be much happier. Guess some folks in Thornhill are just suckers for "gourmet" claims, regardless of the actual quality and the abundance/illusion of choice available. Don't be fooled by the hype and the claims, this place is a definite let down from beginning to end and I really wanted to like it seeing as how it's a 2 minute walk from my place, hence I've given it multiple chances and every time the result was the same - EPIC FAIL! In rating this place, I'm reminded of Conrad's Heart of Darkness, when Kurtz gasps - The Horror, the Horror! I guess he had a Fatburger from Disera.
