| - Here's the lowdown ~
THE GOOD:
+ amazing service
+ nice atmosphere
+ portobello fries
+ mac and cheese
THE DECENT:
~ mashed potatoes
~ brussels sprouts
THE BAD:
- burnt bread served with the carne asada bone marrow
- overcooked or underdone steaks
- raw scallops
We were a party of six, and literally, every single one of our proteins were cooked incorrectly. The five people who ordered steaks received them overcooked or underdone. They were all sent back to be recooked, with the exception of one, who was too hungry to wait. My scallops were raw, but they did remake the plate and didn't charge us for it, which I appreciated.
Overall, I really appreciated that the management was super apologetic and tried to amend for the mistakes made, the service was friendly, and the sides/appetizers were delicious. But I just can't recommend a steakhouse who can't cook a steak, let alone serve burnt bread at a place that charges $30 - $50 per plate.
It must have been an off night, but it was really embarrassing and disappointing to recommend this place to our friends and the execution be so poor since we had previously really enjoyed the place.
