  • I went to Out on a String on a lark because I was interested in learning to play the guitar. There I met Spencer who spent a large amount of time explaining about guitars and what they're used for and which are easier for beginners to learn to play. OOAS offers guitars starting at very affordable levels through moderately expensive models. Unlike at some shops, you can ask for and get assistance when trying out different guitars. I opted to take lessons from Matt who is teaching me both music theory and how to play the guitar. I am learning about music in general, how to use a guitar to make music more interesting, and how to play the guitar. Overall, I've been very pleased with the service I've received from OOAS. I look forward to continuing lessons with Matt and continuing to patronize this store.
