  • Big biergarten with a ton of local craft beer on tap. They have table Jenga, giant Connect Four, cornhole, board games, and sand volleyball. You can spend an entire day here doing different activities and trying new types of beer. Their food is surprisingly really good too - my favorite thing to get is the tater tots with fire sauce which is seriously addicting. I personally have found it difficult to meet new people in Charlotte but the games they offer actually make it easy to introduce yourself or invite new people to play with you. The whole vibe at VBGB is just really fun and relaxing- everyone goes there to have fun without any pretenses. It is kid/dog friendly too! The bartenders have always been friendly and quick, so you never have to wait long to order another beer. If you're looking for a fun way to spend an afternoon, check out VBGB during the day and then head over to 8.2.0 next door for karaoke, arcade games, a speakeasy, and pizza. Or just stop by VBGB before/after a show at the Fillmore!
