  • I am writing a positive review of Peoria Ford even though my specific deal did NOT go through. I went there with a trade in, in order to get a lower APR than I was currently getting on the car I had (2010 Ford Taurus, which I do love). We worked out a great deal. I took the car home (2013 Ford Fusion, love) but, ultimately, the finance co. was unable to offer me the APR we had originally negotiated. This was due to the fact that my current bank was not reporting correctly. I was skeptical at first (thinking the 'yo-yo financing' scam) but, I spoke to other dealerships and people who know car sales. I was given the same answer by everyone. This was a financing (bank) issue, NOT anything the dealership could control. The manager worked with me ALL week, communicated with me often and tried everything he could do on his end to get this deal done but, ultimately, he could not get the exception he needed to get the rate down. I finally had to decline the sale based on the fact that we were unable to get the rate I wanted. I returned the vehicle and got my car back... NO problem, NO pressure! I was in and out, didn't even take 30 minutes. Beau (my salesman and the manager) came out and saw me off, we talked for awhile and we have a plan of action going forward. He was / is awesome. I WILL return when I get things sorted out (should be a matter of a few months) and I do believe I will get a good/fair/honest deal. I don't trust car dealerships at all but, I had a great experience here with these people and I expect nothing less going forward. However, if that changes I will be happy to correct my initial Yelp review! ha ha. Great job Peoria Ford!
