  • The tacos are small. There, I said it, I ordered the two most basic things on the menu, the other being the tableside guacamole. I just thought I'd get that out there up front. When you walk up, it seems like it's part of or used to be a church. It actually isn't. You can tour The Mission next door... they were actually quite welcoming in there when I peeked in to get a glance. That's a review for a different day. There are two outdoor seating areas here. One in the front and one it the back. We sat out back at a two top, umbrella-covered table. It seemed to be a very busy area, with staff members going back and worth to a kitchen or storage area. So, if you're looking for a more intimate atmosphere, don't sit in the outside seating out back. The menu and Yelp featured photos remind me a tapa themed restaurant. The prices seemed a bit steep, but this was my first Scottsdale restaurant experience in years. $14 for tableside guacamole... yeah, I know it's fresh and made in front of you, but with only one avocado used, the portion size is smaller than what I've experienced with other tableside guacamole offered at elsewhere. Later during my stay this year, I learned that the avocados in Arizona do not taste as good as the ones in Kentucky. So, I wasn't impressed by the taste. As I mentioned, or warned you, I only added an order of three tacos, steak tacos to be exact. The steak was ok, but nothing other than the avocado really stood out within the tacos. And I'm not kidding, I think they were the smallest tacos that I've ever been served. Each about the length of my index finger. Definitely, don't assume that the photos of the tacos accurately depict the actual size. Service was wonderful. Our waiter was fantastic and friendly.
