  • First of all I want to say that my daughter and I have enjoyed visiting this store over the few years we've lived in the area. It's a small family owned place that has a lot of different fish to see. We have also spent quite a few dollars at this store, as my daughter has several reptiles. That being said, shortly after Christmas we stopped in to inquire about a 40 gallon tank. The tank was going to be for my daughter's hamster. When we asked a few questions regarding the one that was there, we were laughed at (literally laughed at and figuratively called idiots) for buying such a big tank for a tiny hamster. One employee straight out walked away from us shaking his head, while the other told us we could get by with only a 10 gallon. Keep in mind that we had her in a bigger tank than a 10 to start with. My daughter has researched every pet she has ever owned, and is well aware of what they need. Before writing this review, a quick google search showed me that she was correct, not that I doubted her. The rudeness of the employees cost them $100 that day. Even if they thought it was silly for us to buy such a big tank, why did they not just keep quiet and take our money? Oh well. It worked out for us. We got our 40 gallon elsewhere for a whole lot cheaper. Sweet Pea loves her new tank. We won't be back.
