If you can handle the constructions sites that pleague Montreal, you should definitively try TUCK SHOP in St-Henri.
Expect to pay at least $150 for two if you both take an appetizer and a drink; but every penny is worth it!
I was looking for a new restaurant to try for my wedding anniversary, and my husband gave me very little in terms of limits: money wise and not going through 2 bridges! I had to ask a work colleague to help me, he's the closest thing to a foodie that I know! Thanks Barry! ;)
Since my reservation was made last minute (Friday for Saturday), we we lucky to get 2 spots at the oyster bar... but we love sitting at the bar anyway. After watching the chef chucking oysters, my husband tried both kinds (Connecticuts and a New Brunswick kind) and I had a beef tartar, which was too made in front of me. To say that it was good would be an understatement. Fresh ingredients, prepared with care and know-how and prettily arranged.
The appetizers were followed by pork ravioli for my husband and their snow crab for me (although hubby finished off half of my plate! ).
I must mention the service team because they were exceptional, each and every one of them. They all came around and made us feel very welcomed and very special, which is very good when you try a new restaurant for the first time.
Thank you all at TUCK SHOP for a fantastic meal and experience, we shall go back again!
