  • Yes, Chinook Centre is the biggest mall in Calgary (I specify Calgary because I realize that CrossIron Mills mall in Balzac is much bigger now), but I rarely go there. Yes there is a HUGE variety of shops there, but It's ALWAYS packed. Especially during this time of year, it's unbearably packed and it's only going to get worse in the weeks approaching December. And although I absolutely LOVE their movie theatre, I find the mall and the store owners to be rather pretentious. The last time I went there, I asked a store owner if I could try something on and she just looked at me and responded by saying "ONLY if you're seriously considering buying it". Well I'll tell ya what, I wouldn't BUY something I didn't try on, so I just turned around and walked out. Definitely not the greatest mall I've been to, and quite frankly even if it was, you wouldn't catch me there very often.
