| - We got tickets from an outside provider (Tix4Tonight). Despite purchasing tickets for the 9:00 show they printed tickets for the 7:00. The RIO box office graciously allowed us in. (Huge plus there and yay to the amazing staff.)
Initially, we had the terrible seats (exact same as the 7:00 show by the way). Seriously, they should be sold as partial view seats. It's not acceptable that we paid as much as we did (even at a discount) for a side, half-blocked profile. I would have been hugely pissed... however (and a huge however), they moved us to the center, third row back a few acts in. That made ALL the difference. The show was absolutely beautiful and fantastic from that perspective.
Therefore, I wasn't sure how to rate it. I'd give it a 1 star from our initial seats and a 5 from our moved seats. Splitting, the difference it's a 3, so that's what I went with.
Seating doesn't matter at all shows but for this show, it completely does. Hopefully, the theater will take this into consideration and label and price the tickets correctly. Either that or perhaps they can finagle the seating to better accommodate folks. Something should be done.
So, I'll leave it at this; Absolutely. Go. It's worth it. Just make sure you have a front view of the stage.
