I've never been to an escape room before but I signed up for this one because I'm a wee bit of a history nerd.
I absolutely LOVED King of the Bootleggers!!!!
You don't need to be especially nerdy in any one area of study as all of the puzzles are challenging but solveable. There was some science, some history and a little math and if you get stuck, no one seemed to mind us using the calculators on our smart phones lol (technology makes you dumb). In fact, I think the most valuable asset in this game was attention to detail. [I'm going to say it one more time so you don't miss it - ATTENTION TO DETAIL(S)]
The actors were great! The costumes were good. I loved being able to go behind the curtain and see parts of Casa Loma that are currently off limits.
I will definitely be signing up for some of the other escape adventures. I am especially excited for the new Murdoch Mysteries series that is coming up. You get to solve a murder! They are already taking reservations for that one so hurry and book if you're interested.
I would recommend this for anyone unless you have mobility concerns. King of the Bootleggers had a lot of tunnel, stairs and running around. I am mid-ish 30s, on the thicker side and have bad knees but I was still able to do it so maybe use that as your guide.
Hope you have a blast!
